The United States, while refraining from directly commenting on the election results, applauded India for conducting what it described as the ‘biggest democracy exercise in history.’ State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller commended India’s government and its voters for participating in such a vast electoral process. “We want to commend India’s government and its voters for completing and participating in such a massive electoral process,” Miller said during a daily news briefing. He added that the U.S. looks forward to seeing the final results and to continue working with India on shared interests.

This wave of international congratulations highlights India’s growing influence on the global stage and Modi’s continued appeal as a leader. It also reflects the international community’s recognition of India’s democratic processes and the significance of its electoral exercises.

As Modi and the BJP prepare to form the next government, these messages of support from global leaders underscore the importance of India’s role in regional and international affairs. The congratulatory messages also signal a readiness among world leaders to engage with India on various fronts, from economic partnerships to addressing global challenges.
