HCL Employee Dies of Cardiac Arrest at Nagpur Office

Nagpur, September 29, 2024: A 40-year-old employee of HCL Technologies, Nitin Edwin Michael, tragically passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the company’s Nagpur office. The incident occurred on Friday when Michael, a senior analyst, was found unresponsive in the office washroom.

He was immediately rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, where doctors declared him brought dead. The police have registered a case of accidental death, and an autopsy confirmed the cause as cardiac arrest. Michael is survived by his wife and a six-year-old son.

HCL Technologies expressed condolences, stating, “This is an unfortunate incident and a tragic loss. We are providing all possible assistance to the family of the deceased employee. The wellbeing of our people is of utmost priority, and we offer healthcare programs, including on-campus clinics and annual health checks, to support our employees and their families.”

Further investigation is underway to gather more details surrounding the incident.
