Biden, Trudeau, and Meloni Absent from G20 Leaders’ Traditional Group Photo in Brazil
Brasilia: In an unusual turn of events at the G20 summit in Brazil, U.S. President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni missed the official group photograph of world leaders.
The traditional “family photo,” a highlight of such global gatherings, was taken before Biden and Trudeau arrived at the photo session together. Despite their arrival shortly after, the photo had already been clicked, leaving the duo absent from the moment.
Italian PM Meloni also skipped the group photo, though her reasons remain unclear. The absence of three major leaders in this symbolic gesture of unity sparked curiosity and a wave of speculation among summit observers.
The G20 summit, hosted in Brasília, focused on key global issues like climate change, economic recovery, and international cooperation, with the leaders continuing discussions despite the missed photo opportunity.
