Devendra Fadnavis Likely to Return as Maharashtra CM; Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar as Deputy CMs

In a major political development in Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis is reportedly poised to take over as Chief Minister, with Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar expected to serve as Deputy Chief Ministers. The power-sharing arrangement comes as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) finalize their alliance under the Mahayuti coalition.

According to sources, Shiv Sena and NCP could secure 12 and 10 ministerial berths, respectively, with some key portfolios likely to be allocated to these parties. The discussions over portfolio distribution are reportedly in their final stages.

The BJP’s top leadership is set to meet the Mahayuti leadership trio in Delhi later today to finalize the power-sharing agreement. The meeting is expected to cement the coalition’s strategy ahead of upcoming elections and ensure smooth governance in Maharashtra.

This reshuffling comes amidst intense political maneuvering, with the Mahayuti alliance seeking to strengthen its position against the opposition. The official announcement is awaited, but sources indicate that all parties involved are on the verge of a consensus.
