India Needs to Address Dhaka’s Concerns: Bangladesh Foreign Affairs Adviser

Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain emphasized the need for India to address Dhaka’s concerns to strengthen bilateral relations. Speaking at a roundtable titled “Bangladesh-India Relations: Expectations, Barriers, and Future”, Hossain remarked, “The previous Bangladeshi government addressed India’s concerns, but India has yet to reciprocate in the same manner.”

Hossain expressed optimism about fostering good relations between the neighboring countries while highlighting existing barriers. The Adviser urged India to take concrete steps to address pressing issues impacting Bangladesh, which could pave the way for a more balanced and mutually beneficial partnership.

The roundtable discussion shed light on various aspects of the Bangladesh-India relationship, urging policymakers on both sides to explore new opportunities while resolving long-standing challenges.
