AAP Failed to Deliver Rs 1,000 Promise to Punjab Women, Repeating False Claims in Delhi: Ravneet Bittu

New Delhi – Congress leader Ravneet Bittu has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of failing to deliver on its promise of providing Rs 1,000 per month to women in Punjab, alleging that the party is now making similar “false claims” in Delhi.

Speaking at a press conference, Bittu criticized AAP for what he termed “empty promises” and “misleading the public.” He claimed that the Punjab government, led by AAP, had pledged financial assistance to women during their election campaign but failed to implement the scheme even after assuming power.

“The AAP government in Punjab betrayed the trust of women by not fulfilling its promise of giving Rs 1,000 every month. Now, they are peddling the same falsehood in Delhi to garner votes,” Bittu said.

The Congress leader also questioned AAP’s governance model, accusing it of focusing more on publicity than on delivering real benefits to the people. “Instead of making hollow promises, AAP should focus on solving pressing issues like unemployment and inflation,” he added.

AAP has yet to respond to the allegations, but its leaders have defended the party’s record in Punjab, citing financial constraints and other priorities.

With elections approaching in Delhi, Bittu’s remarks come as a sharp critique of AAP’s credibility and could stir political debate over unfulfilled promises.
