Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a sharp attack on External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, questioning why Pakistan was allegedly briefed on key developments before the Indian Parliament. The remarks have triggered a political storm, drawing a strong rebuttal from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

In its response, the MEA accused Gandhi of misrepresenting facts and politicizing sensitive diplomatic matters. Officials emphasized that India’s communication with foreign governments follows established protocols and that no confidential information was shared inappropriately.

The controversy has added fresh heat to the ongoing political discourse, with the ruling party dismissing the allegations as baseless and aimed at undermining the country’s foreign policy credibility. Meanwhile, opposition leaders continue to demand greater transparency and accountability from the government on critical national issues.

As the debate intensifies, the matter is expected to dominate political conversations in the days ahead.
