Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on the sacred occasion of his Parkash Utsav, remembering the tenth Sikh Guru’s enduring legacy of courage, sacrifice, and commitment to justice. The Prime Minister said Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s life and teachings continue to inspire millions to stand firm for truth and uphold righteousness in the face of adversity.

In his message, the Prime Minister highlighted Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s role in shaping India’s spiritual and moral fabric, particularly through the founding of the Khalsa Panth, which emphasized equality, fearlessness, and service to humanity. He noted that the Guru’s vision went beyond religious boundaries, instilling values that remain relevant in contemporary society.

The Prime Minister also recalled the Guru’s unparalleled sacrifices, including the martyrdom of his sons, describing them as symbols of unwavering faith and dedication to the nation’s moral strength. “Guru Gobind Singh Ji showed the world the meaning of living with dignity and dying for a just cause,” the Prime Minister said.

Across the country, devotees marked the Parkash Utsav with prayers, kirtans, and processions, as gurdwaras witnessed large gatherings. Community kitchens served thousands, reflecting the Sikh tradition of seva and langar.

Leaders from across the political spectrum joined in paying tribute, acknowledging Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s contribution to India’s unity and resilience. The occasion served as a reminder of the Guru’s message of standing against oppression and protecting the rights of all.
