Youth arrested after brawl near Weston Collegiate Institute leaves teen stabbed; investigation ongoing.

A young person has been arrested following a violent altercation near Weston Collegiate Institute in Toronto’s Weston neighborhood, which left a teenage boy with stab wounds. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., drawing police to Ellis Avenue, near Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West.

According to Acting Inspector Todd Jocko, the brawl involved approximately 30 teenagers. The fight, which erupted just after school hours, saw a 15-year-old boy stabbed in the torso. Emergency responders quickly transported the boy to a hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As of Wednesday, his condition has stabilized.

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) spokesperson, Ryan Bird, clarified that the fight took place.
