New Delhi, March 7 – India has strongly condemned a security breach involving External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in the UK, stating that the incident highlights the “licence” given to radical elements in the country. The Indian government has raised serious concerns over the safety of its officials abroad and called on British authorities to take strict action.
According to reports, a group of individuals disrupted an event attended by Jaishankar, raising security concerns. The Indian government has expressed its disappointment, emphasizing that such incidents reflect the unchecked space given to extremist forces in the UK.
“We strongly condemn the security lapse and urge the UK government to take immediate corrective measures. This incident once again raises questions about the growing influence of radical elements in Britain and the need for stronger security assurances for Indian officials,” an official statement said.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is expected to raise the matter formally with UK authorities. India has consistently called for stricter action against anti-India elements operating in foreign countries, particularly those involved in disrupting diplomatic events and spreading separatist propaganda.
Meanwhile, British officials have yet to issue a detailed statement on the matter. The incident comes at a time when India-UK relations are focused on strengthening trade and diplomatic ties, making security concerns a key area of discussion between both nations.
