Islamabad, March 16: Abu Qatal, a top commander of the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and a close aide of its chief Hafiz Saeed, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pakistan.
According to local sources, the attack took place in an undisclosed location, where assailants ambushed Abu Qatal, killing him on the spot. The circumstances surrounding the assassination remain unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Abu Qatal was considered a key figure in Lashkar-e-Taiba, playing a crucial role in planning and executing terror operations. His association with Hafiz Saeed made him one of the most wanted terrorists, with intelligence agencies keeping a close watch on his movements.
