Baloch political voice rejects allegations, calls for recognition of community’s struggles
August 11, 2025 — A prominent Baloch leader has strongly rejected the recent United States designation linking Baloch groups to terrorism, insisting that the community has long been a victim of violence and oppression rather than a perpetrator.
In a statement, the leader said the Baloch people have endured decades of human rights abuses, forced disappearances, and economic marginalization in their homeland. He argued that branding them as terrorists not only distorts their struggle for self-determination but also undermines their legitimate calls for justice and equality.
“The world must understand our pain,” he said, stressing that the movement’s core aim is to secure political rights and protection for the Baloch people, not to spread violence. He urged the international community to look deeper into the region’s crisis, engage with Baloch representatives, and support peaceful solutions instead of endorsing narratives that criminalize their cause.
Human rights observers note that tensions in the Balochistan region have been rising, with growing concerns about the humanitarian situation and the need for international dialogue to address longstanding grievances.
