Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for India after completing a packed round of diplomatic engagements with several world leaders during his latest international visit. The trip, which included bilateral meetings, multilateral discussions, and sideline talks at major global forums, focused on strengthening India’s partnerships across strategic, economic, and security domains.
Officials said Modi held “substantive and forward-looking” conversations with leaders from key partner nations, discussing cooperation in defence manufacturing, emerging technologies, clean energy, counter-terrorism, and resilient supply chains. The Prime Minister also used the opportunity to underline India’s growing role in global governance and its commitment to shaping an inclusive and stable international order.
One of the highlights of the visit was Modi’s emphasis on expanding economic opportunities for Indian businesses abroad, with trade and investment featuring prominently in most of his bilateral meetings. Government sources said several agreements and frameworks were advanced during the visit, while others are expected to move into implementation phases soon.
Modi also addressed global challenges such as climate change, food security, and geopolitical tensions, urging world leaders to prioritise cooperation over confrontation. His discussions with counterparts touched on the ongoing crises in West Asia, the Indo-Pacific, and Europe, with India reiterating its position favouring dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution.
Indian diaspora groups turned out in large numbers at several venues, greeting the Prime Minister with cultural performances and community interactions. Modi praised the diaspora for contributing to India’s global reputation and strengthening ties with host countries.
As he departed, Modi described the visit as “productive and meaningful,” adding that India remains committed to deepening its engagement with partners around the world. He is expected to brief the Union Cabinet and senior officials upon his return, before resuming preparations for upcoming domestic and international commitments.
