According to sources, Hasina and her sister have departed Dhaka for a “safer place” and are expected to arrive in India soon. The Daily Star reported that Hasina’s official residence, Gono Bhaban, was stormed by protesters around 3 p.m. on Monday. Despite her intentions to deliver a speech addressing the crisis, she was unable to do so due to the escalating situation.
