US Election 2024: Trump Surpasses Harris with 52% Chance of Winning, Poll Shows

In a surprising development in the 2024 US Presidential race, Republican candidate Donald Trump has overtaken Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, according to the latest forecast by Decision Desk HQ/The Hill. The poll now gives Trump a 52% chance of winning the presidency, while Harris’s odds have dropped to 42%. This marks a shift from earlier models that consistently favored Harris, with her lead narrowing over the past few weeks.

Trump’s improved performance in key battleground states such as Wisconsin and Michigan, which had previously leaned towards Harris, has helped him close the gap. He also maintains a slight advantage in other critical states like Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina. Pennsylvania remains the only swing state where Harris still holds a lead.

With the election just weeks away on November 5, 2024, early voting has already begun in several states, including Georgia, California, and Virginia. The winner will be inaugurated on January 20, 2025.
