Pakistani Terrorists Target Locals in J&K Attack, Says Army
Baramulla, J&K (October 26, 2024): The Army continues its counter-insurgency operation in Baramulla for the second consecutive day following a deadly attack on Thursday evening. Pakistani terrorists ambushed an Army vehicle, resulting in the tragic deaths of two soldiers and two Army porters in the Butapathri region. According to an Army spokesperson, the terrorists deliberately targeted locals to instill fear and disrupt peace in Kashmir.
Sources revealed that the attackers used armor-piercing bullets, a tactic seen in previous assaults, raising concerns about the weapons being used. The perpetrators remain at large, and the Army is intensifying its efforts to locate and neutralize them.
NC President Farooq Abdullah Blames Pakistan
Reacting to the surge in attacks, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah condemned Pakistan, accusing it of escalating violence in the region. The operation comes amid heightened tensions and a recent uptick in terror-related activities along the border.
The Army’s ongoing operations aim to restore stability in the area, with security forces remaining vigilant in protecting civilians and preventing further bloodshed.
