Trekkers Rescued During Anti-Terror Operation Near Srinagar.

In an unexpected turn of events, two trekkers were caught in the middle of an anti-terror operation in the Zabarwan forest near Srinagar on Sunday. The trekkers, who had not informed the local authorities of their plans, found themselves in a potentially life-threatening situation as gunfire erupted around them. Acting quickly, they dialed 100 and alerted the police to their presence.

The security forces, engaged in an ongoing operation against suspected militants, paused the gunfire to ensure the safe rescue of the trekkers. Fortunately, both were safely escorted out of the area without harm.

Following the incident, the Jammu and Kashmir police have issued a safety advisory, urging all trekkers to notify the local police before embarking on forest treks.
