PM Modi Meets Joe Biden at G20 Summit in Brazil, Highlights India’s Development Achievements

Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met U.S. President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, emphasizing India’s strides in inclusive development and contributions to the Global South.

Sharing a photo of the meeting on his X account, PM Modi wrote, “Always a delight to meet him.” The leaders exchanged views on global issues while strengthening bilateral ties.

During the summit, PM Modi highlighted India’s accomplishments over the past decade, stating, “We have lifted 250 million people out of poverty. Over 800 million people are being given food grains free of cost. Additionally, 550 million people are benefiting from the world’s largest health insurance scheme.”

The G20 Summit in Brazil brought together world leaders to discuss pressing global challenges, including sustainable development, economic recovery, and climate change. PM Modi’s remarks underscored India’s role as a leader in addressing poverty and fostering equitable growth in the Global South.
