ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has urged for Russian and Chinese participation in the investigation of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, citing the need for a comprehensive and transparent inquiry.

Officials emphasized that international involvement would ensure that the probe remains unbiased and thorough. The call for assistance comes amid rising regional tensions following the tragic incident, which claimed several lives and drew widespread condemnation.

Government representatives stated that both Russia and China, being key strategic partners, could play a crucial role in uncovering the full truth behind the attack. “We believe that their expertise and neutrality will strengthen the credibility of the investigation,” said a senior Pakistani official.

The move signals Pakistan’s broader push for greater international cooperation in matters of regional security. Authorities added that efforts are underway to formally engage with Moscow and Beijing to discuss the framework of their involvement.

As the situation continues to develop, diplomatic channels between the three nations are expected to see heightened activity in the coming days.
