April 29, 2025 — In a fresh escalation of hostilities, both Russia and Ukraine launched drone attacks overnight, leaving at least three people dead and several others injured.

According to local authorities, two civilians were killed in Russia’s Belgorod region after a Ukrainian drone reportedly struck a residential building. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials confirmed that a Russian drone attack in the Kharkiv region claimed the life of one person and damaged infrastructure.

The cross-border drone strikes come amid ongoing military tensions, as both sides continue to rely heavily on unmanned aerial vehicles in their strategies. The use of drones has increased sharply in recent months, raising concerns about the safety of civilians on both sides of the border.

Emergency crews are still assessing the damage, and both governments have vowed to retaliate. International observers are calling for restraint as fears of further escalation mount.
