New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of cooperative federalism during a high-level NITI Aayog meeting, stating that a unified effort between the Centre and states is essential for transforming India into a developed nation before 2047.

Speaking at the meeting attended by chief ministers, union ministers, and senior officials, the Prime Minister outlined his vision for India’s future, urging all states to align their development goals with national priorities. He highlighted that only through teamwork, transparency, and timely execution of policies can India achieve its centenary independence goals.

Modi underscored the need for innovation, infrastructure development, and inclusive growth, calling on state governments to focus on sectors such as education, healthcare, digital economy, and sustainable agriculture. He also encouraged states to work closely with the Centre to remove barriers in governance and boost investment opportunities.

The meeting also saw discussions around economic reforms, ease of doing business, and strategies to enhance job creation across the country.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister said, “The journey to 2047 is not just a calendar milestone. It is a national mission. When the Centre and states function as one team, India’s progress will be faster, stronger, and more inclusive.”
