Israeli Airstrike Kills Al Jazeera Journalist in Gaza; IDF Claims Target was a ‘Terrorist’
Gaza City, December 16 – Ahmad Al-Louh, a 39-year-old journalist working with Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. The strike is part of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which has intensified in recent weeks.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Al-Louh was not a civilian casualty but a “terrorist affiliated with Hamas,” a claim that Al Jazeera and press freedom organizations have strongly contested. The journalist’s death has drawn sharp criticism from media watchdogs and human rights groups, calling for an independent investigation into the incident.
